Peggy Wallace Kennedy, daughter of George Wallace

Peggy Wallace Kennedy is a nationally recognized speaker, lecturer and writer. Her father, George C. Wallace, and her mother, Lurleen Wallace, were both governors of Alabama. Mrs. Kennedy has received, among others, the Rosa Parks Legacy Award, Southern Christian Leadership Conference Award, Woman of Courage Award, Emmett Till Legacy Foundation Award, Human Rights Award and the MLK Commission Award. Her dedication to racial reconciliation offers hope for change in a divided America. She lives in Montgomery, Alabama.

Her father became known as one of America's most ardent segregationists of the 1960's when he stood in the schoolhouse door to prevent black students from integrating the University.
